Cafe Bubo (Barcelona, Spain)

There is absolutely nothing open on Sundays in Barcelona. A typical Catholic country. We needed to find a place for breakfast. We knew that the tourist area would have some cafes open for breakfast. So, we walked to the main tourist area and found...Cafe Bubo open.

The cafe is situated across from the main cathedral and all the tables were full with tourist having their breakfast. We sat inside.

The service was slow (there were only two people working); though understandable since they were swamped with customers.

The croissant turned out to be very very yummy. Slightly crispy on the outside, tender and moist in the inside. Nice taste of butter. Next door to Cafe Bubo is Bubo Patisserie where they make amazing looking cakes, pastries and chocolates. So, we were not surprised that Cafe Bubo had very nice tasting croissants.

The cappuccino was also not bad.

This was low season for Cafe Bubo and they were under staffed. I wonder how they survive when the summer holiday arrives and they will have hundreds of tourists shouting at them "where is our cappuccino?"
