Market in Clermont l'Hérault (Clermont-l'Hérault France)

There is a huge market in Clermont l'Hérault every Wednesday. We needed to buy some vegetables, fruit and anything that looked yummy in the market. So off we went to the market.

Clermont l'Hérault is a small city that is about a 15 minute drive from Montpeyroux. Every town has a market; so we try to remember where and when are the markets.

The fish stall showcasing the wonderful fresh fish.

The meat van...with a long queue of people waiting for slices of meat.

All varieties of dry sausages.

Cheese...glorious cheese.

The bounty of summer fruits.

The majestic Clermont l'Hérault church watching over the market.

Bright and beautiful vegetables.

A lovely stroll underneath the shadows of the trees.

The variety of beautifully shaped breads.

Typical of the area...olives, all types of olives.

We did stock up on Bio peaches, lettuce & tomatoes as well as two beautiful sea bass for dinner. It is always great to see the bounty of the season. The vibrant colours, summer aromas, vivid textures and neighborhood atmosphere makes going to the market such a lovely occasion.
