Coffee at the terrace of Oriental Hotel

After a very nice lunch at the China House Chinese restaurant at the Oriental Hotel; we decided to have coffee at the river side terrace at the hotel. The Oriental Hotel's terrace is world famous for its view and service. It it is a bit pricey but we are paying for the view.

The famous terrace where international dignitaries, foreign politicians, movie stars, royalty and the rich & famous have all sat to either dine or drink.

The coffee and cookies.

Of course you cannot sit here all year round; I would never sit out here if the temperature reaches over 30 degrees. I would die. The humidity and heat would be not be very comfortable. I always feel sorry for the staff who are in full uniform walking around and serving in the tropical heat and sun.

The view of the Chaopraya River from the terrace and watching the Oriental boat leave the pier to take guests to the Thai Royal Restaurant or the Mandarin Oriental Spa.
