Gignac Market (Gignac, France)

Every Saturday morning we go to the a very famous outdoor market in the next town called Gignac. The atmosphere is buzzing with shoppers and farmers selling amazing produce and products. We always go to the Gignac market to stock up on fresh foods.

The best cheese stall in the market. This woman makes the best cheeses around. We always need to buy some from her. She also makes an amazing cheese cake.

The photo on the left is very fresh orange juice and the photo on the right is the stall that sells the best goat cheeses.

The photo on the left is where we always buy our chicken and fresh eggs. The photo on the right is where we always buy our smoked tuna that we use for our pasta.

The photo on the left is the man that sells honey. The photo on the right is stall that sells fruits.

This is an amazing stall. They sell everything olive. There are several types of flavoured olives to choose from. But we always buy the black and green tapenade.

Its always fun to go to the Gignac market to see the seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Being roughly equidistant from Gignac and Pezenas, the Gignac market makes a welcome change for us and is slightly less touristy.

Finding a decent source of cheese at a market (beyond local chevre) is challenging, so thanks for the tip.

Ref. tapenade - do try making your own. Easy to make and far tastier than anything you can buy (and much cheaper).

Hi, agree that the Gignac market is less touristy. That's why we like going there on saturdays.

Thanks for the advice to make my own tapenade. A very good idea.
